I work with a wide range of emotional and behavioral issues and am passionate about my work as a therapist.  I provide treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma/loss, and adolescent/family concerns.  I believe change and transformation is best achieved within a collaborative, respectful, and compassionate therapeutic alliance.  I offer client centered care to promote personal growth and achievement of life goals.  I work from a variety of perspectives including acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution focused, health realization/positive psychology, and strength based modalities.  As an ACT therapist, I believe in a person's natural ability to live in a fulfilling and values-guided manner (what's important to you) even when the mind creates stories and beliefs that can interfere.  I will teach you ways to remain focused on what is most important to you while managing the painful thoughts and feelings that all human beings face.  I believe change and transformation is best achieved within a collaborative, respectful, and compassionate therapeutic alliance.  I strive to offer clients with useful and practical solutions and answers to life challenges.  Special attention will be given to the way in which current and past experiences create beliefs, attitudes, thoughts, and feelings/moods. Transformation takes place when we respond to automatic and habitual mental habits in more flexible and adaptable ways.
